There goes the sun

For the first time in ages we saw the sun this afternoon and saw it set which is why you have a sunset not a shot of our garden.

A packed day as we set off for Cumbria on Monday for an extended trip that sees us in Penrith, Keswick and Glenridding before travelling on to Edinburgh for Hogmanay.

We managed a walk, posting parcels, calling in at the Library and visiting Tescos.

After lunch checked the car over, took Susan’s car to be cleaned, did all my packing and all the other stuff we need for the next three weeks. Will it all go in the car?

I’m at Wittersham Road tomorrow, my last turn of the year. I have a trainee again. However, it seems there was a problem with signals at the box so we might only be crossing keepers if it hadn’t been resolved by tomorrow morning.

Saturday evening is about to begin
