A bit of a blur ...
… that’s what today has been!
We had another family day today, with our middle son M and his family coming for lunch. Four presents had mysteriously arrived under Granny and Grandpa’s Christmas tree, and L & H were excited to open two each after lunch, following which they were handed an envelope by Granny containing the first clue in a treasure hunt around the house.
Much hilarity ensued as four adults accompanied two little girls as they read the clues (beautifully) and worked out where they had to go. Seventeen clues later they ended up at the nativity scene in the hall, where the shepherds were holding the final clue, which directed them to turn round and look in the middle drawer of the hall dresser. There they found a large tube of Smarties each, much to their delight!
They then went off home, quite tired after an exciting day, only to discover that Father Christmas had been to visit while they were out, and had left them a note explaining that he’d brought them a few gifts early because he knew they were going to Poland for Christmas. Two tired little girls morphed into very lively, happy and re-energised little girls, we were told!
The moon was looking amazing as we waved them goodbye, but despite my best efforts at photographing it, both with the iPhone and the camera (and long lens) on the tripod, all the photos were rubbish.
In my defence I’m very, very tired …
