New Zealand Pigeon (Kereru)

What a fantastic afternoon we have had. Brilliant blue sky and a lovely warm temperature - we couldn't ask for any better at this time of the year.

I walked up to the cowshed this afternoon. The men were busy welding pipes together. While talking to the Electrician, I noticed this beautiful NZ native pigeon, sitting high in one of our Kowhai trees. It had a mate sitting in the tree next to it - they too were enjoying the warmth of the sun.
