Mulled wine at the allotments!
This was at our allotments this morning. We always have a Christmas Cafe session just before Christmas with mulled wine and mince pies as well as the usual coffee and cakes on sale. The cafe will then be closed until the end of March. It is run by volunteers each Sunday from 11-12.30 with people bringing delicious homemade cakes for sale. All profits going to the allotment which is leased from the Royal Parks..Hampton Court. I did make an effort and wore a reindeer headdress! See the extras our chairperson and another plot holder. Someone had also brought bunches of holly and mistletoe to sell. Not sure where the mistletoe came from but there is lots and lots on trees in Bushy Park…maybe she is a gardener in the apark.
This afternoon we had the family for a roast lunch and then we all sat and watched the Snowman. The children are getting very excited about Christmas, they went shopping this morning to buy presents for each other.
Later I’m planning to go to a traditional carol service at a local church.
