Sunset

It has been a really nice day for a change.  Quite warm with a little sunshine here and there. 


We had to go and do a little shopping in the morning to top up H’s larder and then I raked out the fire and re-laid it, got another load of logs in, polished and dusted and cleaned the kitchen. 


Being our last day here I thought we might get away without incident ……  no chance, ‘Tilly’ was off colour in the morning and then was sick a few times. Then the calor gas ran out just as I was cooking lunch.  No idea where the gas tanks live but with the aid of the kind and long suffering neighbour they were found and Mr HB was able to turn the other tank on.  Hooray, lunch cooking was commenced and enjoyed.

By 4pm the sky was ablaze with a gorgeous light, ‘Tilly’ was back to her old self and demanding food and we all enjoyed our last walk with her and admired the beautiful sunset.
Looking forward to seeing H again and hearing all about her holiday, but not looking forward to being the bearer of more bad news.

It's my dear Brother's Birthday today - he would have  been 90.
