Lines

Another attempt at a full run through of the Panto this afternoon, with the added complication of going off book. To be fair, most people knew most of their lines, but weren’t always sure when to say them. Or was that just me?
It was a fun afternoon, though we didn’t make it all the way to the end. I think we were only one cast member down as well, which is quite good for a December rehearsal.
The show is definitely coming together, but Christmas Day and New Year’s Day falling on a Wednesday mean we do now only have 4 scheduled rehearsals before Tech and Dress. And I’ll be missing for one of those 4! I sense there may be extra rehearsals slotted in for the Christmas and New Year weeks - which probably wouldn’t be a bad thing.
I’m not sure anyone had actually forgotten their lines when I took the photo, but they were all in a nice straight line across the stage - something the Director hates with a vengeance!
Next Sunday we’ll try a full run again and see if we can get to the end. Definitely no scripts allowed and we are being encouraged to don costumes (to get used to them) so that will add another layer of jeopardy to the proceedings.
I’m sure it will all work out in the end…
