'Tintin' land

Train to Brussels from Ghent this morning. Blip while waiting in the huge Eurostar queue (won't elaborate). In 1929, in a Brussels newspaper, Hergé brought to life his greatest adventure: Tintin. Still today Tintin remains the best-known Brussels inhabitant in the world. The men in red were Eurostar security organising the massive queues. I was actually interviewed by Brussels TV about Eurostar (they were finding it difficult to find anyone on the queue speaking French!).
After the queues and delay, gd journey and nice lunch on the train. We realised it was a big Brighton home match this afternoon so keen to avoid trains past the stadium at the end of the match. Everything seemed against us :Eurostar half an hr late, train to Brighton sat outside the station for ages as no available platforms... argh. So we ended up on a very busy, slow bus from Brighton (adding another hr +)..... long day, nice to be home. :))
