Loe Bar

We started the day looking for a garage to check our car out, as a warning light came on yesterday on our way back from Falmouth. The owner of our cottage recommended a garage, but they had too much work on, couldn’t look at it. They suggested somewhere else, but they too were snowed under. They thought it was nothing serious, so we should be ok. Fingers crossed!

We then parked up in Helston, and walked in the Penrose Estate. We walked to Loe Bar, where we were rather windswept, before carrying on around the circular route. It was an easy walk, and took in a small section of the south west coastal path (Loe Bar). We then walked into Helston in search of lunch, which proved tricky. However we found a cafe up an alley, and the food was delicious. We sat outside in a sun trap. A good find.

We then went in search of Godolphin, a National Trust place. We got there quite late and had a wander, but we were both rather underwhelmed.

We headed home via the supermarket, then made tea. Later there was a chat with BB, who had been at rugby training with Edinburgh Rugby coaches.

This is a view to Loe Bar, the extra is a window in a byre at Godolphin.
