Birthday cake

I nearly forgot about this cake order today! I woke up at 5am remembering I had to bake and have it ready for 4pm today.

I would have baked it yesterday, but as I forgot to, I got to it as soon as I was dressed.

My next door neighbour Janine, said that her daughter Sienna would like to come and help, and learn how to ice/decorate cakes. So I let them know once I had baked and Sienna and the exchange student came to watch and learn. They were a BIG help, see extra photo.

We all love how it turned out. It’s for another neighbour’s daughter, so it was special for
them too.

The weather has been awful today, bucketing down. So we were glad to be indoors and productive in other ways!
