and  I attended a movie in her neighborhood this afternoon, and she wore her beautiful gold coat to celebrate! The movie, "Outliers and Outlaws," is about the herstory of the Lesbian Community in Eugene, OR in the nineteen seventies. We each participated in work and liberation efforts in our own communities during that time. Kendall, in New Orleans and me in Portland, OR.-- to secure the legal right to hold jobs, retain custody of our children, and live our lives openly. The cornerstone of our efforts depended upon the supportive communities we formed. There were folks in the lobby urging us to sign a petition in the effort to retain our civil rights, given the the politics of the new US Administration.
