Church Tree

I had to go down to church this morning to do some photography for social media so, while I was there I took a shot of the main church Christmas tree.

This tree had been delivered and decorated by one of our local families and had been paid for by our village pub, The Boot & Shoe. 

I love modern, tiny lights on trees these days. Many years ago I was down in church at Christmas and started to put the lights on the tree. An elderly lady of the church arrived just in time to stop me. I was doing it all wrong! The lights had not to go round and round the tree, they had to go in lines straight down!

No-one argued with Miss Watson.
