Rose

I went out to my home studio to photograph this rose, intending it to be on a pure white background. I was so disappointed to find that my lightbox wasn't working. I've had it a few years but don't use it very much. I can only think that the cable has got damaged. 

After church I went out for lunch at Rheged. Jay and Mark from The Wood Workshop wanted to keep up the tradition set by The Late Mate of us all going out for brunch as business stopped for the Christmas break.

I had been reminiscing about this just a while before a text came in inviting me. It was lovely to see them.
