Dark Morning at Nibon
A few showers this morning, heavier in the afternoon, fewer this evening. Still windy all day, mostly calm and moonlit skies tonight.
Up early, Monday morning again. A day on the mini essykert with Cliffy. We headed Northmavine first, then Brae and Collafirth, paper recycling waste. Clinical waste before lunch, then around Lerwick for black bag waste. Some tidying around the house. Nipped down to Jonny's this evening. Mam and gang along too. Walkies with Sammy before bed.
The darkest of winter days are now here, or as we say here in Shetland, "da hert-höl o winter". Sunrise is around 0905am, and setting around 1457pm. With the duller skies, it really doesn't get much light at all. The morning started to lighten about 8am, this was taken at 0832am. It was bright enough to see around, but definitely not daylight by then. It'll be a few weeks, even a month before we notice an odds on the days turning again, but not long now until the days turn. A dark morning view at Nibon, Northmavine.
