Counting down!
By this time next week I'd everything isn't bought and wrapped it will be too late - not to mention putting up the Christmas tree. Maybe tomorrow for that. The time is running away and I'm distinctly lacking in oomph!
I had to go to Ali's this morning to let in a tradesman which got me up and out fairly early after a dreadful night's sleep - it may have been the wind gusting outside the window, who knows. Hopefully tonight will be better.
I went to Tesco's from Ali's and picked up lots of food odds and ends with long dates on them. The date range varied from one day to 6th January, it really does pay to check.
I had to go into town this afternoon for my massage, I believe I may have nodded off from time to time.
My blip is from the bus stop on Princes Street looking down into the West Gardens. The fun fair was going in spite of the wind. Taylors is a long term Edinburgh Fairground family .
I managed to buy a couple of presents in Zara too then headed home. I find Eilidh much more difficult now she's developing her own style. She's about to be 11. I'm going to take her to Zara with me on Monday so that she can choose something nice and have it for Christmas, rather than give her a voucher that she won't be able to use until January. I'll take the purchase home and wrap it and even though it won't be a surprise hopefully she'll find something special.
I must have been empowered by the massage, although it was supposed to be the relaxing formula. Once I got home I cooked some mince for the family which I later made into a cottage pie, I'll deliver it tomorrow. I made a big pot of vegetable soup which will steep till another day and be enjoyed tomorrow. Finally I made some cranberry sauce. I think I may make another batch. We like lots and I want to have some over too, to make into sandwiches with some brie.
We watched the Monday quizzes, I wanted the other team to win Only Connect and UC was extraordinary.
