Sally Mair - Loving life

As it's Wednesday I was in church this morning. Despite the high winds we had a congregation of ten. For logistical reasons our church Christmas tree had been put up too. It was lovely to see it.
After church, I did some oiling of stiff doorlocks and stuff-sorting before heading for Tesco. I was looking for some more cranberries for another batch of sauce. They were blooming expensive, my bill at the checkout was £28! The positive though was that I did remember to buy them.
Back home in time for a bacon roll before heading for my afternoon in the charity shop. It was all very jolly and I got a real bargain of books in the series which Isobel loves, 50p each, what a scoop. Extra
This afternoon, we put the Christmas tree up, I've left it for a day to allow the branches to drop and tomorrow will get started on decorating it. I sent Ali a photo of it, they are back in Johannesburg now. Her comment was that I'd clearly bought the wrong tree as it appeared to be taller than it was wide! Cheek.
Having said that, it is definitely slimmer than I would normally choose.
