Wet

Very, very wet. And now, early evening, very windy too. In fact, we have a high wind warning. This isn't a terribly exciting view from my deck, but those cedar trees were really moving around! Sometimes when the ground is saturated with rain and it gets really windy we have problems with trees toppling over. We won't here where I live, but on the hills in Portland it's a possibility. Fingers crossed everyone will be safe.

 I braved the pouring rain to go to the grocery store midday - I really wanted to make one of my favorite soups. It's called "Sopa Rachera" and is basically a southwestern chicken soup. I've been making it for absolutely years. And what a perfect day to make soup! I had it for a late lunch and it was delicious.
