Living my dream

K's rose

I was working in K's garden this morning where this rose bush is at its absolute best. It is smothered with white blooms and faintly pink buds. The scent is intoxicating. I found myself lingering beside it for much longer than was strictly necessary ;-)

By the time I am there again next week it will need some serious deadheading, which will make it look relatively drab for a while; but I know from previous years that it will have two or three major blooms like this before the end of autumn.

In what feels like repeated behaviour, I am chasing my tail to get priorities done in my garden before rain arrives tomorrow evening. We certainly need some rain, but I always seem to end up in this situation trying to get mowing, line trimming and picking complete before everything gets wet.

So tomorrow's tasks are already scheduled - assuming the rain arrives according to the forecast.

Thank you for all the good wishes for the Beandog. She is noticeably more relaxed and less bothered by her nails after just a few doses of the meds. Touch wood she carries on improving.
