Victor Harbor
A lovely day today with far too many photos to choose from.
Victor Harbor is an interesting old town. Only 85km south of Adelaide and blessed with tranquil turquoise waters, not surprisingly it’s a popular tourist destination (bottom left, middle right).
There are only two horse-drawn trams left in the world: Douglas, Isle of Man, and here. The central image shows Scotty the Clydesdale having a break.
The “Cockle Railway” runs from Victor Harbor to Goonwa along the coast with surfers and yachts (bottom 3 pictures).
In Goonwa we boarded a cruiser along the Coorang, a wetland trust which comprises the end of the Murray River ad it flows through lagoons and then into the Southern Ocean. There are black swans (top left), seals (top right) and hundreds of pelicans (top centre) taking advantage of the fish being funnelled through a sluice gate on a barrage - quite a sight!
