14 Spot Ladybird
There are 43 different kinds of ladybird in the UK, and only a few of them are red with black spots. This golden wee chap has 14 spots, so rejoices in the name of "Calvia quattuordecimguttata". Fortunately his more common name is "cream spot", so I thought it was appropriate that I found him inhabiting a strawberry plant in my garden before he flitted onto my finger, then almost immediately flew away. I used a 32mm extension tube on a 60mm macro lens attached to my Nikon D300s.
