Community

Finally, the apex of food production for the year arrived - the day of the Community Christmas Lunch. The village hall had been decorated and tables set up the  day before by a team of willing helpers and my main shows how it looked before folk began to arrive. The extra shows just one side of the hall with some food laid out ready for consumption. Folk of all ages, including the local primary school children, came along to enjoy the spread and the chat.  So many people had volunteered to provide something for the buffet lunch that there was enough to send everyone home with a doggy bag! There were very generous donations to Shelter Scotland to help the fight for a safe home for those who aren’t as fortunate as we are.
