Loughrigg Tarn

The clouds look very threatening in this picture but in fact we only had one short shower which lasted less than 5 minutes. The rest of the day was very warm with periods of sunshine.

We walked to Loughrigg Tarn from Ambleside then back over Loughrigg Fell to Grasmere and along Rydal water back to Ambleside. I carried my tripod the whole way which was quite a weight. I put the tripod to use at Loughrigg Tarn. Here you can see the Langdales in the distance.
