Looks intimidating!

Here are a couple of images that have been taken up front and tightly framed.  They are of the villages most recognisable building.  Now serving as the church halls, but it was built as an orphanage in 1884-85.

I can't help think how stern and intimidating this building would have appeared to vulnerable children, it certainly comes across as a stern environment, almost reminds me of Colditz!
