Porthleven
We woke up to a grey and damp day, rather rainy and windy. We had a slow start to the day!
We had left our walking shoes outside last night, and forgot to bring them in, so they were wet. We eventually made a picnic and headed off to do another walk, a circular route taking in the coastal path that we did over twenty years ago, starting at Perranuthnoe.
We initially walked uphill, and had great views to St Michael’s Mount, when the weather allowed. The route then took us across fields and along very overgrown tracks to Kennegy where TT found what he was looking for. The route then joined the coastal path near Prussia Cove, where we stopped to have our picnic.
We then continued along the coastal path to where we had started. As the weather was threatening to close in again, we just headed home.
We had a pre- dinner drink then walked down to Porthleven for dinner. First we had a wander to the beach area to watch the big waves crashing into the harbour wall. We had a live meal, then walked home in the dark. We had a quick call with BB, who seems to be starting to think about going off to University, at last!
This is Porthleven harbour, which was shut off from the massive waves.
