Today's the day ...................... for less

Our lovely plumber came to the house today and fitted two new radiators into the room that we've just finished decorating.  We can now say that the room is officially open for business - and just in time for Christmas too.

We actually thought it would be a lot worse than it was.  Will thought the plaster on at least one of the walls, would disintegrate as soon as he stripped the paper off.  After all, it's been around for almost 180 years.  But, in actual fact, it was alright.  We were bracing ourselves to buy new curtains and possibly a new carpet - but they came up good as new after wash and shampoo.

So, we're very pleased with it all and look forward to using it in the months to come.  We've tried to keep things simple - but colourful.  This is how my 'Cabinet of Curiosities' looked this time last year.
