Walk to the Wensum
We walked south on the Marriott's Way - the raised path along the bed of a disused railway track - as far as Lenwade, then back along the same route, mainly. It's a very wet area - we were surrounded by wet woodland and marshland so there weren't many alternative footpaths. The River Wensum - as shown in the Blip - passes through Lenwade on its way to Norwich and the coast. There were signs to the Bridge Inn for refreshments, but that establishment closed in 2022 apparently - a pity they didn't remove the signs, as many walking the long-distance path must have ended up disappointed! Anyway, a pleasant 10+Km easy walk, and we even saw a barn owl hunting on the way back!
