All smiles.....
......savoring her lunch of soup, bacon and egg pie, banana and a tasty slice of chocolate and date cake followed by a cuppa, she assures us it was delicious!
Another surprise today with possibly being discharged tomorrow, no wonder mum was glowing. Mum was asked if she was going back to Christchurch Hospital, her reply 'I hope not, it's so nice here, my own room with a lovely view, I slept well till 4am, which is my usual wakeup time.'
I've not heard for sure if she's being discharge, perhaps there'll be a phone call tomorrow.
I've been bustling around at mum's, checking beds are made and everything is ready for my brother and family who fly in from Sydney late tonight, we're all excited to be seeing them.
I've also have some mundane chores to do round our own home as we'll be gathering for chit chat, meals, sharing stories and just enjoying family time. Fingerscrossed mum will be joining us.
I've read your lovely words to mum, her eyes light up and her smile grows, she's so thankful to have your friendship and support and sends her thanks to you all.
I too continue to thank you, feeling so touched by your caring words they mean a lot and bring a smile.
Happy Thursday everyone :)
