The footpath ...
Still part of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan campus, this little footpath leads from the Administarative Buildings to the sport fields and hostels. Of course there are tarred roads, but this is a lovely shortcut, favoured by many.
I love the size of the figure below that shows just how tall these trees are.
With stormy weather and high winds that we have had recently, one of the floodlights on the rugby field was blown over! The orange area shows where it is laying.
By the looks of it, it seems that more blow-overs are expected.
The stormy weather has calmed down for the moment - but I read in the newspapers that Cape Town and surrounding areas are in a deluge!
Reports of drownings - a mother and toddler - how very sad!
The Berg River Canoe Marathon is being held at the moment and apparently the river is over-flowing its banks .... casualties? Surely.
Amidst the disaster and confusion, nature still shows it true colours, and appreciation and thankfulness go to the Creator for this awesome beauty.
