Ice Bath

First thing, the lake surface was all white and I looked forward to some minimalist photography. It was not to be. By the time I came out, most of the snow had melted so there were only patches of snow. It made a nice pattern, but how to capture it?

However, the sun had come out and there were fluffy white clouds in blue skies. I decided on the ultra wide to feature the icy rocks and a pool of ice water that had opened up.

I corrected the lens distortion in this one in Photoshop with the warp tool, because I had the lens pointing down to emphasise the foreground.

Edit: I lightened the image today after viewing in daylight.
