Sisters

A gray day here in Portland, but not too cold, and although it feels damp it didn't rain. I drove over to North Portland to visit my sister Barb for lunch. She's actually my sister-in-law - the sister of my former husband. We reconnected after he passed away a number of years ago, and eventually she moved to Portland, via Santa Fe, New Mexico, from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. I've been to Santa Fe to visit her quite a number of times, but now I don't have to buy a plane ticket to see her! 

She's just finishing up a renovation on her house that includes an artists' studio - she's a plein air painter - so she wanted me to see the updates. It's very artistic and very much Barb! Then we went out to a neighborhood restaurant for lunch which was a lot of fun.

Now at home contemplating writing another blog post. It's been way too long and I've gotten out of the habit. Too many distractions over the past couple of months - the presidential election and medical stuff being way too distracting!
