Seville Cathedral - Rooftop Tour

Absolutely stunning building. I am in awe always when seeing the beauty of really old building, the design and the skill of the architects who have designed and of course the builders. From 1402! Completed in 1519.

We booked a Rooftop Tour which I thoroughly recommend . We met at 10 am and there was only 10 of us and Pedro was our Guide and the tour lasted 90 minutes. It was so interesting hearing the stories about the building, where the stone came from , . We were taken to many areas and levels of the roof. After that we were free to walk in the cathedral, seeing Christopher Columbus burial spot and shrine and also of one of his sons. S went up the Giraldo Tower but I had been up in February so did t need to do it again. I walked to the spot where we were going to have lunch. It was a lovely walk through the old winding streets. I had another coffee and ordered as was starving. Our croissant and coffee in a wee cafe in a market seemed a long time ago!

He arrived, we had lunch and a chat with the Spanish waitress as they weren’t busy.

Next on our plan was an old palace in the Centre area the name escapes me I need to look it up but had the most beautiful gardens with inner courtyards. Spent an hour here wandering.

We walked back to Triana and had a refreshment. Decided to have a walk later to see all the Christmas decorations. Popped into a place for a shared plate of salmon roasted brocolli, carrots and potatoes. We laughed and said it was our typical fresh fish Tuesday meal!

The Christmas lights were stunning, done really well - lots of huts with crafty people stuff and the best decs were HUGE three wise men following a giant star.

Got back to hotel and another early night!
