RIP
Finally the day had come to put my father to his final resting place, in his beloved Norfolk soil, along with his beloved wife and next to his two greatest friends. Even after his death in England in 2001, his ashes have travelled 1,000s of kilometres through Europe.
I have to thank my dear friend Annie for arranging the whole event, organising priest, church warden, prayers (see yesterday) and the lovely lunch afterwards in the village pub. I had tried ladt October to do it, but fell badly ill on the day I arrived in the UK and which led to having to abandon the idea. In retrospect I can be glad it wasn't a double burial today!
