Swimming on Kinghorn Loch.

Around 25 years ago, maybe longer, I remember seeing 7 or 8 domesticated white farmyard geese at this location. Then one or two wild greylags joined them on the loch and interbred producing a range of intermediate plumages.  Both types are the same species, Anser anser.
The size of the flock increased to 30 or so (29 today).

Any offspring that inherited the wild-type's instinct to migrate have left, leaving the tame ones behind.  They regularly enter the carpark and approach cars looking for handouts of food.
