Adrift

Noah dropped his ball in the stream and let it wash out into the cove. 

He could have picked it out of the stream, or waded in while it was near the shore, but he didn't, so off it went. He seemed to think it would just come back if he wanted it badly enough.... 

The second time this has happened, both this week. Odd, because he used to go into the sea to fetch balls...
