Glesga Rain Dance
After our trip to see the new Harry Potter film we headed back to the train station and stood listening to these street entertainers in Sauchiehall Street for a bit. With the sound of South American Panpipes filling the air I couldn't help thinking of 'The Fast Show' sketches [clip - 6:06-6:20] and, inevitably, their rain dance brought on a summer shower.
Cue panicky unplugging of non-rain-friendly electrical gear and hoisting of traditional umbrella.
PS: Harry Potter film was good, although I was informed by Samantha that apparently huge chunks from the book are missing and some artistic liberties have been taken with the storyline. Felt slightly cheated with the 3D element which consisted of around 10 or 15 minutes at the start of the film only. Still, looked good on the Imax screen.
