Hobbiton

After leaving Auckland late morning, we drove to Cambridge where we had a pretty terrible lunch, and then to Hobbiton for our tour at 3pm.
It was a guided tour which was quite interesting but we were not as familiar with the films as some people, so the lengthy explanations of the significance of some parts of the sets were lost on us. However it was good to see the little hobbit houses, and at the end they let us go inside one which they had reconstructed to be Bilbo’s house. That was very well done and much more appealing to Amber.
We then went on to Rotorua where we have booked a house for two nights. We ate in after doing a supermarket shop.
