Scribbler

By scribbler

Hello, Linda

Linda roping off traffic cones at the power station near Dishman.
SOOC with crops.

I walk down the street (heading for the pool)
My heart skips a beat (oh, no, more construction!)
I say to myself Hello Linda (maybe a blip?)
If only she'd smile (she's sweet but shy)
And stop for a while (c'mon scribbler, she's working!)
Well then I would get to know Linda. (I did!)

I have real respect for women who work in construction. Judging from her tan, Linda is out on the street a lot. From a comment she made as a driver failed to follow her directions, I'd guess she meets with a fair amount of surliness.

Thanks for the work you do, Linda. I wish you mild weather and polite drivers and a nice long soak when you get home.

VOX POPULI

Madam? Sir? Might I inquire?

IF YOU COULD ONLY CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

A. I keep up with your daily posts and comment when inspired (hopefully often!), or

B. I respond to all your comments on mine.

WHICH WOULD IT BE?

Cause (sob) I just can't do it all right now.

Knee is healing nicely but novel is suffering from neglect!
