The Feast Day of Saint John of Kanty.
Kanty is a place near Oswiecim in Poland where John was born on 23rd June 1390. John loved the academic life. He became a parish priest. Later he spent eight years as a professor at Cracow University. It is recorded that he never ate meat. He slept on the floor and walked everywhere. He died age seventy seven on Christmas Eve in 1473.

Today is cold but less windy. It has been rainy in short showers. It is grey and quite light still at nearly 3pm. It is 4c. The cats have been in the garden for short times, but both are indoors now and Holly is purring beside me as she "makes biscuits" with her paws, on a soft cat fleece blanket.

I have been out to the shop.

The white geranium in today's photo was brought into the conservatory when the November weather was too old to leave it outside. It is good it flowered and made healthy green leaves.

There have been post and parcels delivered to our house.

We changed the triple A batteries in the TV channel changer. It works well again.

We are going to wrap some Christmas presents and read.

Enjoy Monday, keep warm and thank you for visiting my site today blip friends.
