Went out today to buy the first part of Steve's birthday presents: a bowler hat! It's grey. It suits him! Went on the train into Brighton, took the dragons ringsling with a happy Bear in, walked to the shop, chose and bought a hat, had lunch, went home. No time to do anything else as we had a chicken to cook and dinners to prepare!

Of course we could have gone out earlier. In theory. But when you make it down for breakfast by 10am it makes the day quite short....

Still, Bear slept in the sling on the way home which made for a blessedly early nap, the doctor doesn't think I've damaged my knee too badly (wear and tear... just have to be more careful, especially as I've joint hypermobility as well), and Bean was convinced to go to bed earlier than the past few days with a promise of a library visit in the morning.

Not a bad day overall. Apart from photography wise.
