A walk in the Park
V set off to get tea bags from Sainsbury’s in Liphook. His talismanic giant morning cup of tea must contain PG Tips and Sainsbury’s Earl Grey Tea Bags. Nothing else will do. The upside was that he scored the requisite 300g of Dill needed for me to do the Gravadlax recipe from Simon Hopkinson which is easier than the Jamie Oliver one I’ve been doing for years. I was going to post a picture of it but it’s a sea of green slime at this stage so I won’t.
I got it made by 1230pm so we can eat it 48 hours later. Phew.
The rest of the day was wrapping and writing local cards but we went over to Cowdray for a walk and to buy some of their amazing ham. There was virtually none left so I had to make do with end nubs. This is V posing by the ruined palace. Burned down in the early 18th Century it was painted by Turner as a ruin.
Managed to get through the rest of Gladiator but it is a thinly written film so no one comes off very well.
