A different view

Today's (fairly) early morning view is different because we could actually see the sunrise without a thick layer of grey rain filled cloud.  It is also different because the crane has gone and instead we have a wooden pole outside our neighbours house with many cables leading from it, including one across our front garden that leads to our neighbour's house.  Apparently BT have decided that it is much cheaper to have poles and cables for faster fibre broadband than it is to go underground!

In other news: Mr MC and I collected the turkey from Waitrose this morning (where everybody was friendly and efficient) and then met my brother-in-law and wife  at a charming local pub to say 'Happy Birthday!'   See Extras for a shot of the garden - which we did NOT sit in, preferring the cosy indoors of which I failed to get a shot!
