A lovely Christmas Eve

What a lovely Christmas Eve we have had. A short walk this morning then we sat reading in the conservatory as the sun started to come out. Friend Alison and John called round which saved me a trip to theirs with presents.  After lunch we had a lovely canal walk to Appley Bridge then bus up the hill and popped into the shop for a couple of things then home. Lynne came round and Oscar fell in love with her and wouldn't leave her alone. Her black trousers were covered with white hairs!  Doorbell went and it was Kate and Lucy, lovely to see them. Doorbell went again and it was Mel and Ada. Ada wanted to see Oscar. He is exhausted with all the comings and goings today. A lovely simple meal tonight and we shall open some chocolates as a treat later.
