Gin

Today has not been relaxing, but has been fruitful.  First stop was the supermarket to get some last minutes bits for baking that P wants to do tomorrow.  We then nipped to my boss's house to drop off her Christmas present that I didn't give her the preceeding week due to having to cancel our Christmas lunch as I was still ill.  After my boss, we popped in to do the same for team mate M.  Out and about jobs done, I suggested that we head back the way we came and pop into the Heron farm shop for lunch as a wee treat before getting stuck into the house jobs.

At home, it was time to put a new bannister down the stairs.  It went *mainly well* apart from affixing the lowest patrice with P getting sweary when the cavity wall fixing wouldn't work properly, but a bit of drilling got it sorted.  We are now much less likely to fell down the stairs which is good.

We then put our feet up for the evening.  P had been enjoying homemade gin from our neighbours.  He's not usually a fan of gin (hates the stuff actually) but he had been loving his wee bottle.  Apparently it's pretty stong but tastes like juice and isn't oily at all.  The label reads "Product of B- household. Add something fizzy and enjoy. Drink at your own risk!".  It's good to have nice neighbours.
