Sparkly ornament
I mentioned yesterday that Albuquerque brother gave me a tiny tree for the holiday season. It's a foot-high Lemon Cypress. The theme for tiny Tuesday is to use our most festive, sparkly, glittery tiny ornament. If the tree is but a foot tall, imagine how small the ornament is! It's the only ornament in my limited collection that's sparkly. Thanks to carolinav for hosting.
I was surprised by my housekeeper last evening. She brought me six tamales which she made especially for me. It's a Mexican tradition to have tamales at Christmastime. This afternoon, there was a community Christmas lunch which was free to the public. They provided a complete ham dinner. I even had a slice of pecan pie for dessert. I can't eat ham but there was so much other food on the plate that I feel stuffed. I was invited to neighbor across the street's house for a lasagna dinner tonight but there's no way I can eat again at 5:00. Holiday movie night again with choice to be determined.
Happy Christmas to all.

At a remote monastery deep in the woods, the monks followed a rigid vow of silence. This vow could only be broken once a year on Christmas, by one monk, and the monk could speak only one sentence.
One Christmas, Brother Thomas had his turn to speak and said, "I love the delightful mashed potatoes we have every year with the Christmas roast!" Then he sat down. Silence ensued for 365 days. The next Christmas, Brother Michael got his turn, and said, "I think the mashed potatoes are lumpy and I truly despise them!" Once again, silence ensued for 365 days.
The following Christmas, Brother Paul rose and said, "I am fed up with this constant bickering!"
