Gingerbread house
We started the day with a nice Christmas coffee out in the salubrious surroundings of the Services! The coffee was nice despite the venue. It was surprisingly quiet and the service was very good. Sometimes there is a real grumpy crew on but today the barista was super pleasant despite having to manage things singlehanded.
Later Leo and Bobbie worked their magic on a gingerbread house. We will see how long this lasts!
And in a Christmas miracle, Bobbie finally won a game of monopoly! I put up a Lindt teddy as a prize and that must have spurred her on! Also helped by the fact that Ian and Leo are so stubborn they couldn’t agree on a deal to carve up some more of the properties between them so really it was just me and Bobbie doing battle.
I am also partially blaming Leo for my loss as I had to leave him to finish my goes for the game as I had to head to the church to ring the bells for the Donkey Service. When I got back, Bobbie had seen me off!
It was also the evening for the stockings to be opened and we had the usual fun with the blow up animals. This time they both survived, unlike last year when they both bounced into the Christmas tree and sprung a leak!
