Saint Martin du Canigou

Happy Christmas to all those who pass this way. We climbed up to the Abbey for the 11 am service. It was a steep half an hour ascent. We were lucky enough to see a few isards in the woods. Afterwards, the few hardy individuals who had made it up there were invited to join the religious community for drinks and nibbles. It was a novel Christmas experience this year for just the two of us. We will catch up with the rest of the family on our travels.
