Quiet

The Aveyron services are usually really busy but today they were quiet. We overslept in the morning, so were an hour late setting off. Even though it was 10.30 by the time we arrived at the services for breakfast, we were lucky that they had just got in a new batch of warm croissants. We managed to make up time en route by taking shorter stops so we arrived just before it got dark as planned. These days I like to keep night driving to a minimum and try to avoid it at the end of a journey when I’m tired. Otherwise the journey went smoothly and now we will heat up in the hotel microwave the dinner Mrs TT prepared.
