Merry Christmas

It's been a long but enjoyable day, that started out with a lovely late-morning chat with bestie, after which I went to spend the afternoon and evening with my brother and S and the Flumlet who is not nearly so little these days, and is quite the beanpole and full of beans.  S's Mum also came (her Dad was too unwell today to come) and of course my Mum and Dad were also too unwell and didn't want to spread their colds.

My brother did most of the cooking, and instead of a big Christmas dinner at lunchtime we had a wee buffet for an hour or so, opened some presents, and watched some of a film.  The afternoon flew past, and then it was dinnertime with a good spread.  S's Mum came armed with soup and cake and trifle, which we attempted to demolish over the rest of the film, but there were seconds and thirds to take home in doggy bags!
