FAMILY

I slept late and spent the morning quietly just pottering.  My sister in law popped by to drop off a present for Neil  and Rachael.

Around 12.30pm Neil and Rachel arrived to take me to their house.  We opened presents and had some drinks.  Luna played with the toys I had given her and we watched some of the film Home Alone.

Around 3pm we headed off to drive to The Valley Farm- a pub/restaurant -  where we were booked in for a Christmas meal at 3.30pm. The food was delicious.  For starter I had smoked salmon and prawn cocktail served with brown bread and butter.  The I chose pork and turkey from the carvery with 2 yorkshire puddings, stuffing, pigs in blankets  and a selection of vegetables.  Dessert was a very boozy Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.  Neil and Rachael were too full to eat their desserts of biscoff cheesecake and caramel fudge cake so they were boxed up to take home. Neil quickly took the blip shot as we were leaving the restaurant. Ive added an Extra of my meal -- and a photo I took of Luna.

They dropped me off at my house before they went home.  I think all 3 of us were ready for a nap.  I did fall asleep in the armchair for a couple of hours.  Rachael had to get on with her packing as shes off to Ireland tomorrow to visit her Mam and Dad for a few days.

Later on I had a WhatsApp video call with Becky and we had a good catch up.

I hope all my blip friends have had an enjoyable time on Christmas Day.
