CLOUDS

Newcastle had a home game this afternoon against Aston Villa.  Kick off 3pm.  I caught a bus around 1.30pm.  Its a bus that usually goes to Whitley Bay but today there was a special Boxing Day timetable and the bus only went as far as Newcastle.  OK for me but there were people who wanted to go further. Once again our bus driver took the wrong route from Gateshead and went towards the Redheugh Bridge by mistake.  However she realised in time to go round the roundabout and head back to Gateshead and continue on the correct route so we didn't lose much time.

Once I was in town I headed straight for the football ground.  Passed through the Central Arcade. Ive added an Extra showing the Christmas decorations.

There was a great atmosphere at St James Park before kick off  - and it got even better when Newcastle scored after only 2 mins.  After 32 mins Aston Villa were down to 10 men as one of their players was sent off. Newcastle scored 2 more goals in the second half to make the final score 3 nil.  It was an excellent game to watch.  Non stop action. . The result takes Newcastle up to 5th in the table.

After the match I went straight to the bus stop and after a wait of only 5 mins I was on a bus coming home.  It s such a bonus when travel is trouble free.

The weather was OK today but it started getting chilly later in the day.
