Fog and Sun…

.. Just back from Christmas with extended family. We dropped off the youngest Elderly, to whom I speak regularly, on our way home. She’s definitely not as well as she tries to convince us all that she is..,
Wool is no longer over our collective eyes.

We left the West Midlands at noon, which was still pretty much shrouded in fog. We expected worse on our journey back home. There was a lot of fog but then there was a quite weird weather phenomenon around Ashbourne, of sunlight seeping through fog. It lasted for only a couple of minutes and then we emerged into bright blue sky and sunshine! Fog? What fog?

Now pleased to be home and hope for some rest and relaxation.
I had pushed myself (as so many of us do!) to get ‘everything’ done before we left. And when we arrived there, we were thrilled to see a four month old puppy was part of the party. Gorgeous little chap. (A future blip for sure). His human carers had to leave him behind for the night.. (Long story).
But oh how he cried. It was midnight, everyone was in bed and I was the only one who couldn’t bear his heartbreak. So I spent part of the night holding a puppy’s paw on the kitchen floor. (I twigged that he thought everyone was still partying in the other room.. So we went to check. And he settled after that. Bless. I think we’ve bonded!).
